The story of how I became a christian and what my life was like before is a very personal one. I went to bible college because I knew that I was called to ministry, but was definitely not where I needed to be in my relationship with God. I struggled all through school, with drugs and alcohol and finally dropped out because I was having trouble with school. When I got home I decided that I was tired of life and was ready to be done with it, so I slit my wrists. This is where the grace of God comes in, not once did my wrists bleed, no matter how much or how deep I cut them. As soon as I realized what was happening I began to cry, because I knew that God really did have a deeper mission for me in life. Not only did I have a definitive calling of God on my life, but it was at that moment that I knew that all of the stuff that I had dealt with in life, was just going to help me minister to others in the future. God never has us go through anything just for the fun of it, there is always a lesson. So, since that day, all of the stuff that I go through I try to realize that, and let God us it in the way that he wants and to minister to whomever he intends.
