Ministry Purpose
I don't want to make only members, attenders, or just weekenders but disciples.
I want to develop four core attributes of disciples:
Mission, (obeying the great commission)
Passion, (a fire that can't be fed by the world)
Purity, (cleanness of testimony)
And Power. (boldness and God's glory evident in each disciple)
Purpose Explained
My heart is expressed by four words and backed by the word of God.
• Mission: (Acts 1:8) Every student has a duty to inundate home (Jerusalem), friends (Judea), your enemy (Samaria), and every stranger (to the end of the world).
(Matthew 28:19) And not make members, attenders ,or just weekenders, but disciples.
• Passion: (Galatians 6:14) Because the only source for encouragement and act of declaration is the cross of Christ.
(Jeremiah 20:9) The fire of God once lit will burn forever in a soul. A true disciple of God will not be able to deny the call of the Consumer because He is what He is... a consumer.
• Purity: (Galatians 6:14) It is to treat the world and your desire for the world with the same brutal death that met Jesus at the cross.
(Ephesians 5:3-5) God has a standard for believers and these are the evidence of our consecration to Him.
• Power: (Mark 16:17,18) God has given true disciples authority over all the earth as well as hell and infirmity.
(Acts 6:8-10) There is power in the disciple, not the pulpit. Steven was a disciple that performed at the level of an apostle.
