Why We Limit Total Messages Within 24-Hours
Anybody that has attempted to send a lot of messages to other members within a 24-hour period might have discovered that we limit the total amount of messages that you can send within a 24-hour period.
This is done for a multiple of reasons, including -- but not limited too:
-- Spamming (members signing up and just going all the way down our category lists and sending a message to EVERY listing!)
-- Flooding (many members have complained about receiving so many messages from other members when they first post their listing that they cannot manage the hundreds of messages.)
-- Mailbox Size Limits (all members are allowed only so many messages within their inbox, in an effort to help control everyone's mailbox sizes, we limit)
-- Database bloating (to keep our database performing on the fastest possible level we limit to keep the overall size down) |
